Painting Brick Walls?

I'm thinking of painting interior bricks walls. They have been painted once before and the paint is peelings in some small areas. Can someone please point me in the right direction of what to do? I'm not sure whether I should paint over the top or scrap off the old paint and start new.Painting Brick Walls?
For better result of your work you should scrap the old paint and brush the bricks with a nuetralizer twice and let it penetrate overnight then you can paint it with latex paint.Painting Brick Walls?
You should remove the paint. There are some excellent removers at Lowe's. Just ask for directions there. When you paint, try sponge painting the color on and then lifting some with a plastic bag to give it texture. You can experiment around and get a great look.

Enjoy!

ps. For one wall, why don't you try drapes? it might look very cool ceiling to floor.
hi,

painting on the old paint will make the new one unstable. i realy recomend you pill of the old paint and then start new
