Possible to paint over my painted walls?

i have yellow painted walls in my bedroom and i want to get rid of the colour and i want my bedroom to have a new change.

I was wondering is it possible to paint over the painted walls? If so how many coats would i roughly need for the yellow to be unseen?Possible to paint over my painted walls?
I think that you should be able to paint over the existing color. The thing to do is to apply your new color generously. This should eliminate a second coat.Possible to paint over my painted walls?
Yes, you can! For best results, use a primer coat first. Depending on what your new color is will help determine how many coats you'll need. Using a primer first is always a good idea. However, I have successfully painted over light colored walls with a darker shade without using a primer and applying only 1 coat. But if you are going lighter, you will probably need a primer coat. Try primer and/or paint by Kilz, as their paints are known for one coat coverage. This brand is a little more expensive but worth it, in my opinion. Have fun!
depends what colour you were wanting to paint it and how dark the existing yellow is. a couple of coats of white undercoat should do the trick. and undercoat is cheap. then just paint over in your colour of choice.
hi if it is quite a bright yellow i would buy white emulsion and give it two coats of that first as it might affect the top colour you choose! and its cheaper than putting four coats fo coloured emulsion!

then you should only need two coats of your chosen colour!

added....if its a really pale yellow you might get away with two coats of your blue but make sure you use a good quality paint, i always use a paintbrush for better coverage!

good luck! :)
