How do you remove cigarette smoke from walls and painted surfaces.?

clean with a good quality cleaner (simple green is one) use a combination of distilled water and hydrogen peroxide to wipe down and consider repainting after using a sealer (Kilz etc). after painting contact an indoor air specialst that can use ozone generators to shock treat the residual odor and to remove the VOC's from the paint and chemicals (Medallion Healthy Homes is one co for the ozone) Not easy. How do you remove cigarette smoke from walls and painted surfaces.?
If it doesn't help by washing the walls, repaint! How do you remove cigarette smoke from walls and painted surfaces.?
TSP will take it out, that stuff will remove anything. Just be careful when handling it, read the directions.
wash it down with Oder Out. You may have to paint it anyway.
spick-n-span and amonia
TSP or spick n span. It'll take some scrubbing, but it will work.
steam it the walls will sweat it is so gross!!!!!! but it works i moved in2 a new apartment and they painted over the smokey walls and when it got hot out omg i was gonna puke. so i steamed them. The shower gave me the idea when the walls would just stream down with brown tar. then scrub them after. it may take a minute but its worth it cuz im a non smoker and i can smell smoke a million miles away.
Mean Green. you can buy at Dollar General for $2. it's fast and easy. no scrubbing. I just got thru doing a house with this and it works great.
Awesome from the dollar tree it works so well..It took the cig. smoke off of my dash and the steering wheel and grease too. I use it in the kitchen as well. You will need rubber gloves, since this stuff will take the oil out of your skin too. You may have add it to hot water so it don't fade the paint-test an area first.
Dont bother trying. Use Original Kilz primer and then repaint the surfaces.
