u should repaint it?Wall paints in my house r chiping out, worst on the corners.they luk as if they r boilin out?solutn?repaint?
is this inside or outside. sounds like either the surface was dirty when last painted or there is moisture forming behind the paint. if its moisture the we have to fix that first. email me and i can figure it out for you. need more info
probably moisture collecting inside the wall. you need to prevent the moisture from getting in - maybe fixing a gutter overflow (leaves etc).
Efflorescence? Usually seen on masonry or basement walls, moisture coming through mortar and concrete? Puffy, powdery stuff. First find the ';moisture problem'; and correct it, then remove the efflorescence and seal cracks with concrete caulking or waterproofing type caulking, then maybe UGL or another type of waterproofing, let cure for at least 48 hours and then you can paint with regular latex. The waterproofing has a light sand texture in it (UGL does anyway), so keep that in mind when rolling or brushing. I like to brush it on and make sure it gets in all the openings. Ideally you brush it out and inch or two on the concrete floor if there is one. If this is coming from the inside out on brick or masonry, it's another moisture problem with the sun pulling the moisture out through the house. I have also seen this problem on the inside of some plaster walled houses from water leaks outside, it will have the same type of powdery residues.
