How to paint walls striped?

I am planning on painting our new baby's nursery with striped walls but i have no idea where to start help!!How to paint walls striped?
get a laser straight line aligner thing, and get a crap load of painters tape, and tape where you want the stripes. use the aligners to make sure the lines are straight! How to paint walls striped?
Choose your two colors. Paint the whole room with the lighter color. Let it sit overnight, so the first color can harden enough that the tape won't pull it up. After the paint has dried, you can lay out the lines. It's up to you what kind of spacing you use. Lasers might be a good idea, but with careful measurement and layout, you don't necessarily need it.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Paint over the tape with the ORIGINAL COLOR. It sounds strange, but after you layout the tape, you have to paint it again with the first color. This way, if the paint bleeds under the edge of the tape, it's the same color. THEN paint the darker color. After it dries, peel up the tape, paint the trim, and you are good to go.

I did scenic painting for theaters for years, and faux finishing in houses. It doesn't matter how well you put the tape down, you will have some edge bleeding. You can paint over the tape with the dark color, and spend the next two days touching it up with a little teeny brush, or you can paint over the tape with the first color, THEN the darker color, and have zero touch up.

Good luck!
Use painters tape...kind of like masking tape but not rear sticky ...Paint your wall the base color...let it dry...place the tape (two strips space apart to the length of the desired stripe';...paint between the two strips of tape...let dry...remove the tape carefully...make sure the paint is dry...or the tape will pull off paint from the stripe...Good Luck
measure the walls width and determine how many stripes can go on that wall and how wide you want them to be. If it's two colors different from the wall color you have now, you'll have to paint the wall totally with one of the colors and then mark your stripes with tape.
Painters tape. By the way, when you start painting, try to do it all in one sitting because the different times of day affect the tone of the paint on the wall when its drying. so one wall might look darker than another bc you didn't it all at the same time.
you can buy painters tape at home depot or lowes. its usually green or blue, you stick it to your wall, and paint right over it.

whatever color you want your stripes to be u have to paint first, then over with the tape. then paint the rest of the room and just peel the paint off! :)
I have a wall like that in my kitchen, it is made in a plaid fashion. Just like a shirt. You can overlap the colors, its very cool.
Use painters tape. Stick it where you want different colored stripes. Paint. And peel off.
Get a 2 foot level so you could plumb the stripes the way you want them Good Luck
you may also need to use a level to make sure the lines are straight.
PAINTERS TAPE!!
paint light Always before dark
use painters tape and put were you want the stripes
put stripes on them.
use painters tape to tape of the lines that your wanting and go from there
