My husband who is a paint specialist at Home Depot says the paint shouldn't be lead based but contractors/painters still had some even after they stop being sold so that doesn't mean whoever painted the walls might still have used lead paint. He says to get a lead testing kit which you can get virtually anywhere for no more than 8 dollars.
It only takes one second too... Kids get in to everything don't they?





I'd make sure it isn't a lead base. As long as it isn't then he'll be fine. I am positive over the years that won't be the worst thing he ingests.





Also use this as a good excuse to repaint. That's how I would justify it to my husband anyway... LOL!
Do you know how long ago the wall was painted? If it was recently, it's not lead based. If it wasn't so recent, or you don't know when it was painted, get a kit to test it.
i think you should take him to the er just to be on the safe side because its better to be safe than sorry.. good luck.. hope all works out for you!
If it isn't lead base it shouldn't cause too much trouble, but I would still take him to the hospital just to make sure.
You might want to get a kit just to be sure it's not lead based paint...
call a health line or 911and ask them.
