It depends on what sort of finish you want to have on the walls.If the wall you are going to paint have a prominent/dark colour on them like blue,green, pink etc..you'll have to use sand paper to first scrape it off, then apply Altec/POP/Lappam let it dry and then apply paint for a very very smooth surface.If you are not looking for a very smooth surface then you may not choose to apply POP, instead use a good lustre finish paint.If you are not that particular of a perfect look and dont want to spend more on it, then not using pop makes sense.Is POP NECESSARY BEFORE PAINTING WALLS?
