My Puppy is chewing the paint on my wall, Not the trim. will the paint hurt her any?

I would block off the particular area that she is drawn to for whatever reason; dogs can hear and sense things; could be something in the wall , a taste in the paint etc; distract her b/c this is now becoming a habit that needs to be broken especially if she keeps going to the same spot; are you feeding her enough?? and a good quality food; treats that she has to work at to get ; could be boredom as well ; could be a multiple of the above; look to all the areas but you need to pay attention, her diet could be lacking etc ; dogs generally just don't go and eat paint; more investigation and prevention is needed for her health and well beingMy Puppy is chewing the paint on my wall, Not the trim. will the paint hurt her any?
It depends on the type of paint and if he's ingesting any of it. That's a really interesting problem you have, I've never heard of such a thing... I do not envy you! Have you tried spraying him with a spray bottle to get him to stop? Or distracting him from this behavior with a chew toy? The sooner he learns that's not okay, the better. Good luck to you!My Puppy is chewing the paint on my wall, Not the trim. will the paint hurt her any?
For young animals (including humans) They like to put things in their mouths. In this case its your puppy and paint. I am not happy with the thought of him/she eating the paint for two reasons

1) it may do her harm if she swallows large quantities

2) she may progress to something else later such as furniture that you may not be able to train him/her out of.

It may be the stage where they want to taste everything and s/he will grow out of it but if it does continue then yes it will harm your puppy.
Paint could be dangerous to her it's a chemical and could obstruct her respiratory or digestive tracts. Put her on a leash and keep her with you so she can't chew it. Puppies shouldn't be left to roam about the house unsupervised, it's too dangerous. If you can't keep her on a leash and with you, then get a big crate for her and pop her in there when you're not around. She could chew the electrical cables and be electrocuted and any other number of dangers.

Whenever you're around and catch the puppy trying to chew it, then pop her in time out in the crate, don't say a word, she will soon get the message!
well paint isnt exactly on a dogs diet is it ?? so Yeah it will affect ya lil dog
Yeah if it's lead paint.
The top guy's right, it won't hurt the puppy unless its lead based, if you don't know....don't let the puppy chew on it. They sell spray you can get at a pet store...to spray on things you dont want your puppy to chew on..i think its called ';bitter apple';. Try it!

goodluck
dont let him swallow it
Probably not just that little bit, but you should try to make her stop. Many kinds of paint do contain toxins of some kind, so she could likely get hurt if she eats enough of it.
It will not do her any good. Your puppy is lacking something in her diet, so buy her some dog biscuits or something. Also when it chews the paint, slap it on the nose and tell her NO! If it continues, take her to the VET. Later if it is a puppy, it will start to chew everything.
yeah
