Has anyone ever added powdered texturizer to paint and then roll on the wall. Does it work?

I am not a fan of this. It looks like the old sand texture. It does the trick, but with the many texture choices out there, I'm not sure this one will make you the happiest. The other choices involve specialized tools, so this way would be the cheapest. Or you can try this way.
